How Contributions and Grants Reach CSC-Asbl

Community Support Center / CSC-Asbl (registration no. 112/SKV/6937)

operates in Uvira, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, a region where international banking access is limited and where receiving international transfers directly can be costly and unreliable. To ensure that every contribution from donors and institutional funders reaches CSC-Asbl reliably and with full accountability, CSC-Asbl works with two formally documented financial partner organizations.

HUMANDREAM Foundation (United States)

is CSC-Asbl’s U.S.-based fundraising, grant-making, and capacity-building partner. The Amicale Caritative des Quakers de Nouvelle Aquitaine (ACQNA) (France) serves as CSC-Asbl’s European fiscal host. Both partners receive and transfer funds to CSC-Asbl under signed formal agreements. The channel used for any specific contribution depends on the donor’s or funder’s tax jurisdiction, currency preference, and the nature of the contribution, not on geography alone.

For Individual and International Donors

Individual donors can contribute to CSC-Asbl’s programs through the Amicale Caritative des Quakers de Nouvelle Aquitaine (ACQNA), an independent French charitable association that serves as CSC-Asbl’s European fiscal host. The ACQNA receives contributions in multiple currencies, transfers 100% of the net amount received to CSC-Asbl, and maintains CSC-Asbl’s funds in a designated account separate from their own operating funds under a signed Fiscal Hosting and Fund Disbursement Agreement

Donation channels

PayPal (USD, EUR, or GBP)

Available at www.csc-drc.org/donate. PayPal deducts its standard processing fee before funds reach the Quakers. The Quakers then transfer 100% of the amount received from PayPal to CSC-Asbl with no additional deductions. PayPal provides full transaction records and receipts for all donations.

Bank wire transfer:

Send to IBAN FR76 1690 6000 1387 0592 8330 649. Bank wire transfer is preferred for larger contributions because the transaction fee is typically fixed rather than percentage-based, making it more cost-efficient as the donation amount increases. Wire transfers also produce bank-level documentation, including SWIFT confirmation records

Receipts

Each donor receives an official donation receipt after CSC-Asbl confirms receipt of funds. For questions, contact : info@csc-drc.org .

For Institutional Funders and Partners

This section provides the organizational and governance documentation that institutional funders, including foundations, corporate social responsibility programs, multilateral agencies, and bilateral donors, require when conducting due diligence on CSC-Asbl.

HUMANDREAM Foundation: U.S. fundraising and capacity-building partner

HUMANDREAM Foundation, Inc. is CSC-Asbl’s U.S.-based fundraising, grant-making, and capacity-building partner. HUMANDREAM raises funds from donors and institutional funders globally on CSC-Asbl’s behalf, disburses grants directly to CSC-Asbl or, where appropriate, through the ACQNA as a secondary channel, and provides monitoring and evaluation infrastructure and financial accountability systems. HUMANDREAM operates through a fiscal sponsorship arrangement with Fiscal Sponsorship Allies (FSA), which holds and approves all disbursements before funds are transferred. Donors and funders who give through HUMANDREAM receive U.S. tax-deductible receipts under EIN 39-2867584.

Governing agreements

The financial and program relationship is governed by three executed agreements, available to institutional funders upon written request :

  • Partnership Agreement
  • Grant Agreement
  • Fiscal Hosting Agreement

Financial accountability

CSC-Asbl, HUMANDREAM, FSA, and the ACQNA maintain separate accounts and do not co-mingle funds. FSA approves each disbursement in writing before funds are transferred. CSC-Asbl reports to HUMANDREAM quarterly on program activities and expenditures and annually on program outcomes. HUMANDREAM, FSA, and institutional funders hold audit rights over CSC-Asbl’s financial and program records.
